Sometimes wax builds up and hardens, blocking the canal and causing reduced hearing, a feeling of fullness, ringing, or discomfort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Common treatment: <\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>We evaluate the ear with visual examination and\/or binocular microscopy if appropriate. We will safely remove the wax using special instruments, gentle suction, or wax softening drops. Over-the-counter softening drops may be recommended beforehand.
